Strangers in Paradise to become a movie?

It has been announced today that filmmaker Angela Robinson has partnered with Terry Moore to adapt his long-running graphic novel Strangers in Paradise into a movie.
Launching in January 1993, the comic book Strangers in Paradise follows the turbulent relationship between Francine Peters and “Katchoo” Choovanski, and their friend David Qin. Francine considers Katchoo her best friend; Katchoo is in love with Francine and David is in love with Katchoo.
What makes the relationships even more difficult is the mysterious past Katchoo has as an underage lesbian hooker and the Parker Crime Syndicate. Run by David’s lesbian sister Darcy, the “Parker Girls” work for the shadowy ‘Big Six’ organization, an international crime syndicate with influence over the world of politics. “Parker Girls” are highly trained women used by organized crime to control, manipulate, spy upon, and ultimately kill men and women in positions of power and authority, for the Big Six.
Robinson stated: “I’ve been wanting to adapt Strangers in Paradise for over a decade, since the first time I read it and couldn’t put it down. Terry Moore writes real female characters with such breathtaking sensitivity.  With Strangers in Paradise he pulls off the nearly impossible — a sexy, stylish crime story with tons of heart.  I look forward to our collaboration!”

Moore added: “Angela and I have known each other for years and I greatly admire her creative vision. From Day One our common goal was to bring Strangers in Paradise to the screen. It’s a complex story that took years to write and Angela gets it on every level. I can’t wait to get started!”
