Martin Landau passes away at the age of 89

It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that Martin Landau has passed away at the age of 89 years old. The sad news was broken by his publicist Dick Guttman who confirmed he died on Saturday in Los Angeles of “unexpected complications” following a hospital visit; he said “We are overcome with sadness.”

Throughout his career Landau appeared in many amazing roles on TV and the big screen including Maverick, Rawhide, Johnny Ringo, Wagon Train, Bonanza, Checkmate, The Untouchables, Cleopatra, The Defenders, The Greatest Show on Earth, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Wild Wild West, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, Space: 1999, The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan’s Island, Matt Houston, Murder She Wrote, Kung Fu: The Movie, The Return of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman, Spider-Man, The X-Files, Ready To Rumble, The Evidence, Entourage, Without A Trace, Frankenweenie, and his Oscar winning turn as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood.

Founded Cult Faction in 2014; previously crawled out of the Black Lodge in 1976, only to find himself in the Village.
