Tatsuya Nomi passes away at the age of 47
It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that Tatsuya Nōmi has passed away at the age of 47 years old.
Nōmi was known for playing Daigo of the Heaven Phantom Star (ShishiRanger) in Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Daigo was serious yet gentle hearted character who was known as the Heavenly Illusion Star. He was the team’s green member, Shishiranger, and second-in-command who often clashed with Ryo, the red RyuuRanger.
He also played one of Shurikenger’s human forms, Sanpei Hamada in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger and the Wakabayashi Manager in Task 37 of GoGo Sentai Boukenger.
The death of the actor was revealed via twitter by his brother, who left the following message.
I am Tatsuya Nōmi’s brother, Koichi Tatsuya.
I am afraid I have bad news.
Until now, I have loved my younger brother, Nōmi and am grateful for him from my heart. Thank you.
Sadly, on late 5/18 evening, he passed away.
