Powers Booth joins Agents of SHIELD

Powers Boothe (Tombstone, 24, Deadwood, Red Dawn, Con Air, Sin City, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) is to join Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  as a character named named Gideon Malick, officially described as, “a notorious man whose loyalties remain a mystery”.

“Gideon is incredibly menacing,” explains Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb, “and in him we have a character that even the stone-cold Grant Ward would fear. Only someone of Powers’ caliber could deliver the type of ominous and powerful performance we needed.”
The Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast includes Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Agent Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter, Adrianne Palicki as Agent Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell.
