Ash vs. Evil Dead casts Jill Marie Jones

Starz’s Evil Dead sequel has found Bruce Campbell’s leading lady in Jill Marie Jones (Girlfriends, Sleepy Hollow).

Jones will play disgraced state trooper Amanda Fisher in the 10-episode original series Ash vs. Evil Dead,  joining Campbell who will reprise his original film role of Ash, plus previously announced Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo, who round out the cast.

Amanda sets out to find Ash and prove his responsibility for the crime, but as she soon learns, he and his cohorts may be mankind’s only hope against the plague of evil dead.

Campbell will also serve as an exec producer on the series, along with producers from the original horror film franchise Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.

Ash vs. Evil Dead begins shooting in New Zealand this spring and will debut later this year.
